Some STEM pursuits are harmful

At the risk of being incorrect, it is perhaps worthwhile to remember that by far the single most significant contribution of STEM (science, technology, engineer and math) has been nuclear technology, and whether it comes in the form of hydrogen bombs or energy generation, it is truly a dreadful legacy.
