2024 election

With the November election just a few months away, the race for Washington State Governor is heating up.

Last Sunday a friend and I posted Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson for Governor signs in public areas. I had to smile when, over the next 24 hours, a supporter recognized the value of the locations and placed signs for one of his opponents, Don L. Rivers, right next to our Ferguson signs.

As of today, many of the Ferguson signs are gone, while the Rivers signs still stand.

We live in a democracy where voters are presented with choices. I like to think that on Vashon Island we are respectful of each other and ultimately the voter’s right to choose.
