A shocking and sad day on the island! Dr. Chad Magnuson has folded up practice, but let us look at it another way.

This is what America is all about. He created a truly unique model for American health care. He was always far more interested in each of us individually than anything else. As many as 600 of us benefitted directly. He literally saved my life more than once. So if it is that we have lost a truly creative, wonderful man, let us remember how lucky we were to foster an inspiration for us all.

Our island is a unique place. It is not at all surprising to me that a “Magnuson” should spring from our shores. Let our young, let us all take pride. Thank you, doctor — you have inspired us all.
