Irish fiddle duo
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, the Vashon Havurah will welcome a stellar Irish fiddle duo — Nathan Gourley and Laura Feddersen, hailing from Boston, Massachusetts. Their playing is steeped in the lifelong study of the Irish musical tradition and is at the same time colored by their American roots.
The pair have developed a distinctive style of twin fiddling, sometimes playing in taut unison, sometimes exploring chordal harmonies and rhythmic and melodic variations. They will be joined by Brian Miller on guitar.
For a reservation, contact Jan Strolle at 206-228-0730 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Donations of $20 to $25 are appreciated. The Vashon Havurah is located at 1501 Westside Highway SW.
