Singer-songwriters Gus Reeves and Camille Coldeen from the band Cherrywood Station will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday with Vashon Events’ Youth opener, Mallory Breen.

Reeves and Coldeen sang a cappella gospel tunes the night they met and have collaborated ever since. The prolific songwriters play classic American music and original songs that blend the sounds of soul, country, folk and blues.

Breen began playing guitar five years ago at age 11 and has performed at Sharing the Stage and Strawberry Festival. Youth musicians are sponsored and paid by Vashon Events to help encourage more youth performances.

The free show is open to all ages until 11 p.m., then only 21 and older.
