Farmers Market opens Saturday

The market will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year.

The Vashon Farmers Market, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will open for the season from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Village Green.

The first produce of the year will be there along with plant starts from Pacific Potager, including peas, greens, onions, leeks and sweet peas. Hot and ready-made food will also be available, as well as jewelry, crafts and art. There will be live music from by Michael Whitmore from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
