Dee Cummings died on Saturday, Oct. 19, of complications from acute leukemia. She was known to all on the island as the manager of the Chevron gas station for years, and to those who knew her better, a very sweet and caring person who always put others first.

Daughter Julie and son Jeremy Cummings survive her.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov.2, at the Church of Jesus Christ (east of the Vashon Public Pool), 9330 SW 204th Vashon, Washington.
