Margaret Danielson

Margaret Danielson, lifelong resident

of Vashon Island passed away peacefully

December 15, 2012. Our Mother, grandmother, great grandmother and personal friend to countless Vashon residents will

be greatly missed by all whom she touched and loved.

Born October 20, 1924 to John and

Nellie Griffith of Tacoma. Margaret and family relocated to Vashon Island at an early age where she resided all of her life graduating from Vashon High in 1943. In 1945 Margaret met and married the love of her life, John Danielson (preceded her in death in 1979) after 33 years of a loving and devoted marriage.

Margaret’s passion for hard work, giving and volunteering was the hallmark of her life. Through the years Margaret worked for the Washington State Ferry Service, K2 Skis, and Camp Sealth. She volunteered countless hours and truly loved her work at Granny’s Attic spending time with her fellow volunteers sharing life’s experiences and stories, gossip, and companionship. You could also always find Margaret walking with friends for exercise, aerobics at Ober Park and Vashon Pool and attending the many functions and

celebrations on Vashon Island. A beautiful soul, Margaret always had a kind word for anyone she knew and touched in her life.

Margaret is survived by her children Larry Danielson, North Bend, Joan Pratt (Frank), Federal Way, Patsy Miles (Mike) Ellensburg, her six grandchildren Jay Danielson (Shannon), Rita Danielson, Jenn Kelly (Bill), Kalee Torvik, Kyla Visaya (Mark), Kari Winston (Doug) and her nine great grandchildren Emma, Binh, Adam, Morgan, Landon, Bella, Michael, Evan and Wyatt.
