I encourage voters in Water District 19 to cast their ballots for Seth Zuckerman.

Water issues are significant on Vashon, with our sole-source aquifer, environmental ethic and high housing costs. Seth would bring a thoughtful approach to these issues. I believe he would be open-minded and collaborative, without losing sight of certain values — water quality, sustainability of the resource and costs to consumers. He fully understands that water on Vashon is a limited resource and would bring care, oversight and an ethic of stewardship to the position.

Seth is smart, science-based and civic-minded. He understands climate change and the other pressures our island faces. He is also experienced in board and agency management and would be skilled in addressing the district’s financial and personnel issues.

We’re lucky to have such a committed and forward-thinking person to serve on the District 19 board. I encourage you to vote for Seth.
