As the holiday season approaches, our community is once again preparing for one of its most cherished and time-honored traditions: the annual Vashon toy drive.

For many years, this event has been a shining example of the kindness, unity and generosity that define our town.

Each December, thanks to the support of people just like you, we are able to bring joy and hope to more than one hundred children right here in our own community.

The Vashon toy drive, sponsored by John L. Scott, is more than just a collection of gifts — it is a reminder that even small acts of giving can make a lasting impact. Every toy delivered, every smile shared and every family supported reflects the spirit of compassion that binds us together.

Many local families work hard to make ends meet, and during the holidays, the pressure to provide can weigh heavily on parents. Your contribution, no matter the size, directly lightens that burden and reminds our neighbors that they are not alone.

One of the aspects that makes the Vashon toy drive especially meaningful is that 100% of all donations remain within our community. Every dollar, every toy and every gesture of goodwill goes directly to local families who find themselves in need. Nothing is outsourced or sent elsewhere — your kindness stays right here at home, strengthening the very community we all share.

This year, we hope to make the toy drive more impactful than ever. The need is real and, in some cases, greater than before. Families facing medical hardships, unexpected job losses or other difficult circumstances are counting on the support of their neighbors.
