We attended a most interesting discussion on October 7 at the library. It was called Let’s Talk and featured a panel of people who have great experience with coping with conflict. Moderators Eric Walker and Paul Mitchell led with humor and insight. Thanks to the remarks by the panel members and the discussion which followed, we had much to think about.

Conflict between humans is inevitable. How can we disagree, sometimes passionately, yet still be respectful? How can we truly listen to each other and search for common ground? These are vitally important issues for our time and we look forward to future discussions in this series. I encourage everyone to consider joining the group the first Thursdays of November and December. Kudos to the Vashon United Methodist Church for sponsoring this series.
