VHS wrestlers faced tough competition in weekend tournament

Coach Anders Blomgren said the team ran into some “buzz saws” last weekend at a tournament near Yelm with the toughest 1A teams in the state.

The Pirates placed 11th out of 18 overall. Luke Larson and Moses Kilpatrick got third place; Ethan McIntyre and Nico Nuxoll earned fifth, and Dakota Crandall finished just short of placing.
