Registration is open for Bill Burby Inspirational Fun Run

Registration is now open for the 2018 Bill Burby Inspirational Fun Run, set for Saturday, July 21.
New this year is a chance for a little bit more sleep on Saturday morning, with Friday evening registration, check-in and packet pick-up. Look for race organizers in front of the new Windermere Vashon Building, formerly Vashon Physical Therapy, in town at 17429 Vashon Hwy SW.
Also new this year is that the 10K course has been modified. This is how course designer Kevin Ross describes the change:
“The new 10K course just has one turnaround instead of two and is a scenic out-and-back run. Still very hilly, the new course has less elevation to it, as the Glen Acres section and turnaround along with the hill have been taken out. The goal of the new 10K course is a more balanced elevation gain/loss and an opportunity to run faster times. The new 10K course follows the existing 5K course to start out and then continues along SW Dilworth Road, then follows SW Van Olinda Road until it becomes 91st Ave SW. The turnaround is the intersection of SW 159th Street. The second half of the course will reverse itself back to the finish line. The 5K course remains the same route as previous races.”
