Bus 6 appreciation note
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to the students and parents who took the time to celebrate my retirement, especially during my final days on Bus 6.
The heartfelt cards and notes—thoughtfully and personally created by the kids—meant a great deal to me. The many generous gift cards were also truly appreciated.
The students on Bus 6 are a very special group who made my job both fun and rewarding. I will always remember them fondly and wish each of them the very best in the years ahead.
Thank you for making my time as a bus driver such a meaningful experience.

Long live The Beachcomber
Kudos to you at year’s end for another year of great local writing and reporting.
The December 18th edition is a sterling example of the best kind of local reporting; relevant, thorough, thoughtful, and very well-written. The healthy beach article by Mary Bruno; the profile of the newest Washington State Supreme Court justice, who calls Vashon home, written by Leslie Brown; the VHCD article by Liz Shepherd; the opinion piece on the Klamath River restoration by Joseph Bogard — all excellent, informative and interesting!
You all deserve a huge thank you from the Vashon community for the way you keep us in touch with the best of our community.
Long live the Beachcomber!
Leslie Ferriel
