Ballet director wants to be involved again | Letter to the Editor

I want more than anything to see Vashon Junior Civic Ballet’s dancers back on stage at Vashon High School. Betsy Frazee would love to be a part of it as she has for many years past. It is her life’s work and an absolute passion.

It saddens us that so many attempts to mediate have gone unanswered, and we’re highly frustrated by the lack of cooperation that seems to be abounding. VJCB is/has been hers for many happy years; a lot of Islanders can attest to her love of dance and passion relating to the dancers; she wants them to look and dance their absolute best.  She has always been so proud of them, much like a parent.

Our hope for the upcoming election is it will be one that allows all who have been a part of the productions (audience, volunteers, etc.) a voice in hopefully a “closed ballot” election.  Not everyone wishes to “raise a hand.” That could keep some from even attending.
